A nature reserve with Natura 2000 status, 81.3 ha, established in 2017. The Lill-Rånden stream winds past boulders, pine heathland and small falls. The southern part has lime-influenced pine forest with 67 species, 18 of them red-listed. The valley was shaped by meltwater rivers as the inland ice retreated.
Location: South of Hede.
Good to know
The road there is bumpy. From Hede it is about 14.5 km along Rånddalsvägen, then Synderkölen about 9.7 km and Överåndan about 1.5 km.
