FJÄLLRIKET BAGGÅRDEN

Even in the mountains we are offered an overflowing smorgasbord of adventure pools and play parks, burger chains and fine restaurants, shopping centres and nightclubs, action packages, entertainment and events. We are always connected, yet seldom truly relaxed. We long for closeness, but seem to drift ever further from what really matters.

But there are still places free from this rat race. Where the pace is slower and calm is the greatest luxury. Fjällriket Baggården in western Härjedalen is such a place. Here we live as we always have, with and in nature, on its own terms.

Instead of big car parks and gigantic lift systems, there are untouched expanses and miles of wilderness. Instead of luxury restaurants and cocktail bars, we are offered nature's own pantry and the crystal-clear water of the mountain streams. And instead of packed activity schedules, we enjoy the stillness and the changing seasons.

This mountain realm is an ancient cultural landscape where we don't talk about spring, summer, autumn or winter. Here the year is rather made up of a multitude of seasons that slowly change and glide into one another, transitions you only notice when you are truly present. When you are here, in the here and now, fully.

Here there is room to put down roots and create a second home, an alternative to an existence where everything spins faster and faster. A place that invites you to shift perspective and see the big in the small. To slow down, strip away and simplify. A place where you come closer.
