The trail takes you through valleys, across high-mountain plateaus and past small mountain lakes where you can stop and enjoy the stillness of nature. In summer and early autumn, the landscape turns into a sea of colour, with blooming meadows, mountain birches and glittering streams running down the slopes. But Anåfjället is not only a place for scenic hikes; it also has a rich cultural history.

In the middle of Anåfjället lies Anådalen, where old summer farms (fäbodar) are scattered across the area and tell of a time when people lived off the mountain through summer farming and reindeer herding. In summer you may even see grazing reindeer roaming freely, which strengthens the feeling of being in another era. Autumn on Anåfjället is magical, when the green forests and heaths of the mountains turn to intense shades of red, orange and gold. Hiking here in autumn is an unforgettable experience of calm and rich colour. When winter arrives, Anåfjället becomes a paradise for touring skiers and summit tours. The snow-covered mountain landscape and the clear winter air make the area a place for both recreation and peaceful winter adventures.

Anåfjället is also home to unique mountain plants and animals. With a little luck you may even spot an Arctic fox or a golden eagle soaring high above the mountain tops. Visiting Anåfjället means experiencing Swedish mountain nature at its most magnificent. Here the majestic landscapes, the history of the mountain and its unique wildlife create an experience that stays with you for a long time, whatever the season.
