Anådalen and Kovvograven

Anådalen lies on the south side of Kappruet, with old summer farms (fäbodar) scattered across the valley. From the road between Funäsdalen and Mittådalen, a marked path leads about 5 km east, and from the road between Mittådalen and Messlingen the path crosses Kappruet. Parking is available at the Kappru lift car park.

Location: South of Kappruet.

A little history

The Anådalen–Messlingen trail (trail 22) is difficult and has no known paths. On eastern Middagsåsen, by Middagstjärn, you will find Kovvograven, a fault with steep rock walls. The trail crosses the Mittån river on a suspension bridge at the outlet of Lake Messlingen.
